Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut, a Chapter of the national Associated Builders and Contractors, is a membership organization comprised of 200 Merit Shop member-firms in Connecticut.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut members are working together, building a better future for all of us. Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut members believe in the free enterprise system that has made this country strong.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut members believe:
  • All workers should be recognized based upon their value to the industry.
  • All qualified, responsible contractors should be eligible to bid and be awarded projects based on their ability to perform.
  • Contracts should be awarded to the lowest, qualified, responsible bidder after a fair and open bidding process.
  • Contracts should be awarded based on merit, not non-union or union affiliation.
When you consider that 78% of the construction companies in Connecticut are Merit Shop, also consider this: Contracts should be awarded based on merit, not union affiliation.
